For this project we were asked to design and model a game-ready prop that could be used in an interactive environment.
Examples include barrels, crates, treasure chests, sci-fi consoles, street props (signs, benches), or other functional items commonly seen in game levels.
The emphasis was on clean topology, proper optimization, and preparing assets for potential export into a game engine (Unity or Unreal). This project was meant to help understand the balance between detail and efficiency in real-time environments.
Final Model in Substance Painter. Going for hand painted stylize look.
Basic Textures
Used basic ai standard surface materials with various levels of roughness and metalness to get a simple sword.
Played around with the base colors so that Arnold Render wouldn’t be over saturated.
